RIVERDALE -- When Braden Mitchell and Mike Staten officially took their seats as Riverdale's newest council members, they vacated two seats on the planning commission.
Mayor Bruce Burrows recently appointed two women to fill those seats.
Kathy Eskelson was appointed to finish Mitchell's term while Lori Fleming was appointed to finish Staten's term. Fleming will serve through January 2013 and Eskelsen will serve through January 2014.
Brent Ellis and Blair Jones were reappointed to serve another four years on the planning commission. Ellis is chairman and Jones is vice chairman.
