Lets help identifying a driver that ran their car off the road.

PRICE -- An accident in Spanish Fork canyon on November 2 has one family asking for help identifying a driver that ran their car off the road.

Brittany Stubs was traveling with her mother from Price to Provo on Highway 6 when, according to the Utah Highway Patrol, a semi-tractor trailer came barreling toward her in her lane. In an attempt to avoid a head on collision, Stubs swerved onto the shoulder and hit a parked trailer.

"They had to Jaws of Life her out of the car, then life flighted her to the hospital," said Stubs stepmother Barbara Holley.

The 22-year-old Stubs was transported to Utah Valley Hospital where a team of trauma doctors have been treating her for the last couple weeks.

All we know is that it was a semi-truck. We don't have a full description other than a commercial vehicle. We don't have the color. We don't have the markings or the company name.

"She's really going to have a lot to overcome," Holley said. "What we need from anybody out there, who may have been in the canyon around nine in the morning, is any witness to the accident who could give us information."

According to the Highway Patrol, the driver of the semi- truck did not stop after running Stubs off the road.

"All we know is that it was a semi-truck," said Cpl. Todd Johnson, spokesperson with the Utah Highway Patrol. "We don't have a full description other than a commercial vehicle. We don't have the color. We don't have the markings or the company name."

The Highway Patrol is asking for anyone with information to come forward.

As Stubs lay in the hospital recovering, her family is trying to take care of her two young daughters.

"Brittany's been extremely hurt. She's going to have a lot of recovery time and things she's going to have to face in the future," Holley said. "It's been a big shock, but, we all believe in miracles and you never know what's going to happen."

A fundraiser has been scheduled in Stubs' honor on Saturday, Nov. 19 between 4 and 8 p.m. at the Event Center at Carbon County Fairgrounds in Price.
