Foreclosure - Where will he sleep tonight!!

Let us not forget that People’s homes are tremendously important to them emotionally. It’s an American and human fact that we project our self image through the houses that we buy and redesign and where our children grow up — and to some measure it is our face to the community and to ourselves.”

When life changes let us not judge but understand one other, help where we can and lift where we stand.

A foreclosure or a short sale is not just the next deal it is someones story

LETS REMEMBER EVERY HOME HAS A STORY - Grab a tissue!!

WHAT IS A QR CODE?!?!?!? and do I need one.. YES I DO!!

In today's Internet world of cell phones, text messages, and instant  messaging, it's no wonder yet another tool is emerging, the QR Code.  "Quick Response."   Everything is about fast  information today, and the QR Code for real estate is no exception.

The QR code came to us from Japan where they are very common. QR is short for Quick Response (they can be read quickly by a cell phone). They are used to take a piece of information from a transitory media and put it in to your cell phone. You are starting to see QR Codes in a magazine advertisements, on a billboards, a web page or even on someones t-shirt

Once it is in your cell phone, it may give you details about that business or contact information (the QR code to the right is what you see on my business card above)

And they jump off the page at you!

How does the cell phone read the code?

The cell phone needs a QR code reader, like this one from i-nigma or Shopsavvy which is also great for finding the best deals in town. It takes literally 1 minute for someone with an iPhone or Android phone to find and install the reader.  You can also find them at the Market place

How do you generate a code?

You can easily generate a QR code using a site like Kaywa.com or goqr.me easy for you to start using them in your business and they are tons of fun!!

How can you use QR codes to benefit your real estate business or any business for that matter?

We are only just scratching the surface of how they will be used. I have added two, one above that allows you to scan my information and put it right into your phone with only one click. And the 2nd one on the left will take the customers to one of my listing's virtual tours. You could even use them for kids savanger hunts and make it into a party.

My business card/virtual tours shows how I am using QR Code in my  businesses                      you can create your own card this a few steps at tec-it.com

HAVE FUN AND LET ME KNOW WHERE QR CODES TAKE YOU!

What I learned today ---- Will change my life!!

This past week I attended the Century 21 Convention one of the best conventions I have ever been to in the past 10 year.  After 2 days of classes learning how to social network by facebook, texting and everything electronically, almost getting away for the personal touch I was brought back to reality where I learn the most.....

Aron Ralston was the closing speaker most of you know him as the man who cut his arms off.  But I came to understand something much more deeper then that about this man, when he told his story of how he found out where his priorities should be.  Aron also taught me that no matter how much Social Networking and computers try to take over are life's it is the simple things that make the difference.

The comment that toughed me the most from Arons experience was ..." I left something there that night but I stepped out of the cave and into MY LIFE"

What is the most important things in our lives ?!?! ... our families and friends,  along with the relationships we make along the way. I went right home and called my two wonderful kids along with my great daughter in law just to tell them how much I loved them.

In the moments of life we never know when we will be called home and how important it is to let those that are the closest to you know just how much they mean to us and how they have formed  us into  the person we are today. There was one person who never gave up on Aron....that was his mother.  She formed the largest search party and did not even know what state Aron was in.

One lesson I will never forget as tear ran down my face when the helicopter landed with his mother greeting him after 5 days of being by along, and where he learned what really matter most.

YOUR FAMILY!!!  Special thanks to my wonderfully family you have truly made me who I am today.
